Holly Hughes' fresh, rich, and innovative painterly abstractions inspired a full page Art Forum ad for her inaugural show at the gallery in which the typography had to be "discovered"—allowing the reader to contemplate the artwork for a longer period than usually experienced with a magazine ad.

George Dudding's first solo show featured sculpture employing his primary material, copper wire, which he bends, cuts, and solders into delicate reliefs that climb and careen off the wall. The sculptures suggest rope, baskets, or ladders, which we showed simultaneously as a full image and a detail in one view not only to provide graphic interest but to create more presence for this fine and exquisite work on the announcement card.
