Giacomo Balla: Works on Paper 1912-1918 was a seminal collection of the futurist painter's pictorial depictions of light, movement, and speed. |
Balla was signatory to the Futurist Manifesto in 1910 and began designing, painting, and sculpting. He also created Futurist furniture and "antineutral" clothing. The Art Forum ad featured his exquisite work Boccioni's Fist with his distinctive signature displayed prominently as a symbol of origin and authenticity. We also converted his signature into a slug on the postage meter that imprinted each envelope used to mail the exhibition opening invitations. "Futurism... creates the style of flowing abstract forms that are synthetic and inspired by the dynamic forces of the universe."
